We welcome practitioners of all levels at Elements Hot Yoga. If you're new to hot yoga, here's what you need to know before your first class:
Hydrate Before & After
Drink plenty of water before and after class. Bring a water bottle to sip during practice if needed.

Wear Comfortable Clothing
Lightweight, moisture-wicking clothing that allows you to move freely is ideal for hot yoga practice.

Bring Your Equipment
A yoga mat, towel, and water bottle are essential. We have rentals available if you need them.

Take breaks when needed and don't push beyond your limits. Hot yoga is a journey, not a competition.

For your first class, we recommend bringing a yoga mat (or rent one from us), a large towel for your mat, a small towel for sweat, a water bottle, and comfortable, moisture-wicking clothing. Arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork and familiarize yourself with our space.

Our studio temperatures vary by class type. Hot Vinyasa Flow and Power Hot Yoga classes are typically heated to 105°F with 40% humidity. Warm Foundations and Yin & Restore classes are set to a gentler 95°F. Our Meditation & Breathwork sessions are held at a comfortable 85°F to provide warmth without intensity.

Yes, hot yoga can be suitable for beginners, but we recommend starting with our Warm Foundations classes which are specifically designed for newcomers. These classes have a slightly lower temperature and focus on proper alignment and basic poses. Listen to your body, take breaks when needed, and stay hydrated. Our instructors are trained to offer modifications for all levels.

For beginners, we recommend 2-3 classes per week to allow your body to adjust to the heat and build strength gradually. More experienced practitioners may practice 4-6 times weekly. Listen to your body and ensure you're properly hydrating and resting between sessions. Remember that consistency is more important than frequency; a regular practice will yield better results than sporadic intense periods.

Monthly memberships can be canceled with a 7-day written notice before your next billing date. Annual commitments include a freeze option for up to 30 days per year for travel, illness, or injury (with documentation for medical reasons). To cancel or freeze, please email us at info@elementshotyoga.com or speak with our front desk staff.

Hot yoga offers numerous benefits including improved flexibility due to the heat warming muscles, enhanced cardiovascular function, improved detoxification through sweating, stress reduction, better focus and mental clarity, and potential weight management. The practice also builds strength, balance, and body awareness while promoting mindfulness and present-moment awareness.

Hot yoga may not be suitable for those with certain health conditions including cardiovascular disease, heat sensitivity, low or high blood pressure, diabetes, pregnancy (especially first trimester), or certain respiratory conditions. If you have any medical concerns, please consult your healthcare provider before beginning a hot yoga practice. We're happy to recommend alternative classes that might better suit your needs.

For everyone's safety and to minimize disruptions, we close the studio doors 5 minutes after class begins. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in and set up. For cancellations, please notify us at least 4 hours before class to avoid a late cancellation fee. No-shows and late cancellations are charged a full class from your package or a $15 fee for unlimited members.
